Over the years, the process has been improved and refined so that today it offers lower initial capital cost, lower energy consumption, reduced operating costs, and higher urea production efficiencies than "so called" newer technologies. Many existing urea plants can be redesigned to utilize this technology to increase efficiency and reduce operating costs.
